Purple Jewel Ornamental Cherry This is a hardy non-fruiting new selection with much larger leaves than others of the same cultivar. New green growth turns a deep wine red, with gorgeous, soft, blue-mauve undersides. Foliage colours will be more dynamic when grown in open, sunny positions. Holds its leaves until late Autumn. This variety is great planted as a feature tree for foliage contrast. This is an erect variety and needs to be tipped to encourage branching when young. Prefers full sun. |
