Sunburst Cherry Sunburst makes an attractive tree either when in flower or during fruiting. It produces large dark red, almost black cherries that have an intensely sweet flavour. While it is considered self-pollinating, this variety will benefit from pollination with other Cherries. A good choice for backyards as it is a compact grower to approximately 4m tall. Mid-late season maturity. Good for eating fresh and for jams.well suited to growing in small spaces and containers. Prefer a sunny position in a humus-rich soil. This is a high chill cherry so requires cold winters for satisfactory fruiting. |
