Storey Apricot This variety produces large, golden fruit with some red blush. Flesh is deep yellow and firm. 'Storey' is actually a fast-growing, early-fruiting version of the Moorpark Apricot. As a high-to-medium chill hour variety, this variety is not suited for tropical or sub-tropical areas. Storey apriots are known for good flavour and is typically used for jams, preserving and drying. Plant in a sunny position with well-drained soil. Keep soil moist until the tree is established. Fertilise and prune every year to encourage new growth and fruit the following year. |
