This variety displays bright green narrow leaves which turn yellow in autumn. Pale pink buds open to single vivid-white flowers in spring. Vivid red crab apples follow. Bark is an attractive, shiny and greyish-brown, becoming scaly over time.

Crab apples from this tree can be used for jam/jelly.

For fruit to develop, requires a high-chill climate.
