Malus domestica 'Cox's Orange Pippin'

Foliage Deciduous
Form Round
Mature Size 2 x 2m
Family Rosaceae
Cox's Orange Pippin Fruiting Apple

A small heirloom Apple variety, Cox's Orange Pippin produces medium-sized fruit, orange-red in colour deepening to mix of bright red and deep yellow. It is considered a mid-season dessert apple, best eaten fresh from the tree. It has a rich, aromatic flavour and a crisp juicy texture. Requires a compatible Apple to pollinate.

A lovely variety to eat fresh, for sauces and relishes and can be used for brewing.

Prefers a sunny position with well-drained soil. Water in well and keep the soil moist until the tree is established. Fertilise and prune yearly to encourage new growth and fruit the following year.
