Formosa Sweet Gum Liquidambar formosana ‘Evergreen’ is a beautiful deciduous tree that turns a bright red in autumn, holding this colour long into winter - in some areas and climates it will remain in colour until the new Purple Spring foliage pushes through. Makes a beautiful feature tree for autumnal colour and shade in summer. PLEASE NOTE: as suggested by its name, this tree, however is only evergreen in warmer, northern climates. In cooler temperate climates like Victoria, this tree is deciduous. Tolerant of harsh conditions and frost. Prefers full sun in well-drained soils. A hardy tree once established that tolerates many growing locations including wet soil. |
