Red Pokers Hakea An Australian Native small tree/shrub from Western Australia. This is a stunning tree that produces beautiful orange-red flowers in winter and spring. These flowers sit within the foliage but are easily seen due to their colour and the trees open habit. This tree is ideal as a feature tree or an informal hedge. It will attract birds, bees and butterflies into the garden. While the tree copes well with humidity, it is ideally suited to areas of low summer humidity. It is tolerant of moderate frost. The species grows and flowers best in an open, very well drained, sunny position but it will tolerate some shade.
