Dwarf Yellow Bloodwood A smaller version of Corymbia eximia (syn. Eucalyptus), the foliage is broad with a strong green colour and may turn a paler yellow/green in the colder months. The trunk adopts a gnarly, crooked appearance with mottled brown bark and in Spring the tree puts on an eye-catching display covering itself in creamy yellow flowers, attracting nectar loving birds. This tree makes a good feature tree particularly in a lawn or as a part of a wind break or native shelter. It is used extensively in streetscapes due to its restricted size. Suits dry conditions once established. Will tolerate most soils in full sun position. Does not tolerate frost well. Leaves will turn a yellow green in winter but as the weather heats up the colour will change quickly. |
