Description | This variety is one of the best-tasting prune-plums, as it is very sweet and juicy. Fruit is medium-sized, oval in shape and deep purple to black in colour. The flesh is freestone, greenish-yellow, juicy, very sweet and highly flavoured. Needs to cross-pollinate with another European plum. |

Uses | This variety has been traditionally used for eating fresh, for drying (Prunes), and in pies and preserves. |
Position & Soil | Prefers a sunny position with well-drained soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep moist until established. Fertilise when planting, and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth and fruit, the following season. |
