Description This Australian native tree has a dense growth habit with long green leaves bearing silver undersides. The leaves can have spiky or smooth margins. The large yellow cylinder shaped flowers are a stunning feature to the tree and attract native birds and insects. The flowers are borne from spring to autumn.

Uses Can be used in native gardens and coastal areas. Anywhere with dry conditions. Great for street planting.    
Position & Soil Tolerates dry conditions and coastal exposure in a well drained soil. Does not tolerate waterlogging or high phosphorus fertilisers. A native fertiliser is recommended. A full sun position is prefered but part shade is tolerated.
