Description This is a large growing, pale-barked, deciduous tree with classic large green maple leaves that turn a brilliant yellow to orange and red in autumn. This tree is aative to the eastern states of North America. It produces beautiful autumnal foliage colour and is best known for being the primary source of maple syrup.

Position & Soil Sgar Maple will grow in full sun or part shade but is susceptible to salt, excessive heat, and leaf scorch in drought conditions . It will grow in most soil types but prefers humus-rich soil with plenty of organic matter.
