Description This is a large deciduous tree with a columnar form in early years, developing a more rounded crown in maturity making it pyramidal in shape. Foliage is dark green with a grey-white underside. In autumn, foliage turns a yellow and bronze with new spring growth opening in redish-blue tones. Flowers are greenish-yellow but inconspicuous. Considered a fast-growing but shallow-rooted with strong branching roots and fibrous rootlets.
