Our service philosophy at Speciality Trees has always been to offer solutions.

Knowing the reason you are looking to buy a tree is extemely important. Is it to shade, screen, add a focal point to the garden? Is it required on the north side of the house; the south side? West or East? Is there structural elements near by? Paths or driveways? Will you sit under it or have the kids swing off of it! Will it have space to grow? Are there cables or power lines nearby?... Every snippet of information is necessary before you make that wonderful investment in a tree.

Ideally the most intelligent approach is to talk to a nursery professional, take the time to view their stock and understand what they do in the production area to achieve the end result. Like the tree purchase itself, it is an investment in time and money both for you and the horticulturist growing the tree.

Visit the nursery and don’t be afraid to ask lots of questions as the tree purchase is important. And if the nursery is a reputable one like ours, be prepared to be both impressed by the responses and enlightened by the experience.

Under the category of Feature Foliage, this deciduous Canadian Maple has deep purple foliage and grows to between 4-8 metres tall. A great tree for small to medium gardens looking for a unique focal point or point of difference. We have excellent stock in 50L containers. 40cm/27L 50cm/52L 200L
Agonis flexuosa 'Burgundy' is a great selection if you are short on space but require big impact. Big and full with soft pendulous foliage we have great stock in 50 to 150 litres.
If you are looking for a specimen with interesting bark, we ask that you consider the white trunks of Betula pendula 'Moss White'. Growing 8-12 metres tall, planted either singularly or in groups these trees are stunning. They are deciduous so the effect of the white trunk during the winter months adds another dimension to the garden. 40cm/27L 50cm/52L 100L 200L
What about something different for a screen or hedge? We are excited about our range of Corymbia and our selections of stunning grafted ficifolias are expending steadily. These are truly the bees-knees in flowering gums. Planted now, you will be amazed by their fullness and colour in nine months time. These are breathing fresh air into the native marketplace and we are working hard to sustain quality supply in 50 litre containers. Order now to avoid disappointment.
Under the category of commanding shade, this large evergreen tree with dense foliage and broad domed crown is loved for its smooth bark, and large twisted limbs. Its bark is shed in large flakes in spring when the older pale grey bark makes way for new bark which is salmon-pink in colour. At this time, young foliage appears across the tree giving it a deep burgundy red tinge, gradually fading to green. Foliage is curved, and waxy, providing excellent contrast to the bark. This tree provides transient colour interest as well as shade - a beautifully rare combination. 40cm/27L 100L
Under the category of bold flowering this is another beautiful grafted gum. 'Fairy Floss' grows 4-8 metres tall and is perfect for small gardens, parks and streetscapes. We offer these in 50L containers. Be sure to contact us soon as these will definitely go quickly.
